Proof of Life: Day Z is an experimental post-apocalyptic narrative told entirely through daily radio transmissions.

Following the collapse of the world, a lone survivor known as Little Giant records fragments of his journey using a military-grade RUD unit. Each entry functions as a survival log, a signal sent into the void, and a quiet attempt to prove that someone, somewhere, is still alive.

As days pass, the world begins to change around him. What starts as a record of endurance slowly becomes something else. A confrontation with an altered environment. A relationship with a non-human presence. A threshold that cannot be crossed unchanged.

Content Scope

This submission contains Chapter I: Into the Prism, spanning Days 118 through 132 of the Eventide timeline of a larger ongoing narrative.

It is self-contained, but deliberately incomplete. It is designed to be read as a continuous transmission chain rather than a traditional short story. Like any found transmission, it ends where the signal fails or transforms.

Just the signal, as it was sent.

This project is presented as an in-world artifact. The text is framed as a sequence of radio transmissions recorded by a survivor and relayed through unstable infrastructure in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The reader assumes the role of a receiver. Someone who has found the signal.

The tension comes not from choice, but from listening. From witnessing a world that no longer follows consistent rules.

Beyond this submission, Proof of Life: Day Z is envisioned as a multimedia project integrating soundscapes, voiceovers, animation, photography, and a graphic interface that translates in-world radio frequency protocols into a form familiar to the reader.
